Unlike franchised music programs, The Modern Rock Academy is focused on the individual students instead of expansion and profit. Our students don’t simply sit in lessons, they participate in a true rock band. Each song is carefully selected by the music director to challenge students to stretch and grow. Guided by professional musicians who know how to inspire and challenge, students push their skills, rise to new levels, and experience the thrill of live public performances.

Francesco Perrouna
Francesco Perrouna, Music Director, is a seasoned performer and music educator who has spent the last decade and a half nurturing hundreds of young musicians to grow as confident, creative, community leaders through music performance. A bassist, guitarist, multi-instrumentalist, and accomplished lead vocalist with well over 2,000 performances to his credit, Francesco brings all this experience into the lesson space with passion, patience, and joy. He has directed hundreds of rock performances for students of all ages and has provided music education curriculum for 4,000+ students over the last fifteen years.
